Isotopes refer to when elements possess variable numbers of neutrons. In isotopic notation, the mass number sits above the atomic number, and aside the element. In this design system, the element is “SWRM,” which always takes place in a city, yet different locations each year. Here, an isometric grid creates a 3D effect in a flat space—Oklahoma is often assumed to be flat, even though we know it is not. This solution has scientific and cultural depth, which was one of the goals mentioned in the discovery meeting.
